According to the report “Al-Quds Al-Arabi”, what distinguishes the series “I waited for you a lot”, in which a number of Arab actors participate, is that it presents a different image of the Arab world . The series “I expected you very much” coincides with the talks between Turkey and Algeria to film parts of the series “Barbaros” in Algeria, which was a milestone in the life of the eminent Ottoman leader, Khair El Din Barbaros, according to Mahienur Goktas, Turkish Ambassador to Algeria.

The series “Barbos”, starring the famous Turkish actor Engin Altan Doziatan (Artgrel) and presented by the channel TRT, tells the story of Prince Aruj Barbaros and his brother Khair al-Din, known for their maritime achievements in Africa North and Mediterranean coasts during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Selim I in the 16th century AD.

This is not the first cooperation between Turkish and Algerian dramas, since Turkish director Mohamed El-Jouk directed the Algerian-Tunisian series (Mashaer) in 2019 with the participation of a Turkish team, and the work has experienced a great Arabic success, because it was dubbed in several languages.
