Benjamin Pavard scored the only goal in Bayern Munich’s victory over the Tigers as the German side won the FIFA Club World Cup final and clinched their sixth title in nine months.
Bayern have won the European Super Cup and the German Super Cup and are now club world champions, following a hat-trick they achieved last season.
Initially, Pavard’s goal was called off due to Robert Lewandowski’s offside, but was ultimately awarded after the VAR referee.
Joshua Kimmich had already scored a goal, but it was called off after returning to VAR.
This is the eighth consecutive year that a European team has won the Club World Cup.
Tigress of Mexico were the first team from North or Central America to reach the final, but failed to end the dominance of European and South American teams in the tournament.
Qatar hosted the tournament, which is seen as a preparatory test for next year’s World Cup finals. A limited number of supporters were allowed to watch the match in the “Education City Stadium”.
The victory solidified Bayern’s position as the club’s leadership team for 2020 – the Club World Cup was due to take place last December, but has been postponed due to the Corona outbreak.
Since Hansi Flick took over from Bayern Munich in November 2019, the German team have won 58 out of 68 matches.

Bayern could have won by a larger margin, thanks to two shots from Leroy Sani and Corentin Tolisso.
Flick tries to restore peace.
German football analyst Raphael Honigstein
The team won the championship despite unconvincing performances and a lack of cohesion behind the scenes between sporting director Hassan Salih Hamidic and coach Hanse Flick.
Flick brought players brought in by Salih Hamidic during the summer break to today’s game.
Maybe he will do his best to achieve peace. They won to bring some peace and harmony to the team.
