Elaf of Beirut: Kuwaiti singer Shams has carved out her name in the ranks of the world following the success of her latest music video “Chisophrenia”, for which she has been nominated for more than 8 music awards at several major festivals.
Shams Kulaib has been producing “schizophrenia” for over 6 months, developing the idea for the work and his conception of the clip itself. Al-Alamy is the first of its kind in the Arab world, officially nominating “schizophrenia” for eight awards in America, Europe and Asia.
Starting with the old continent, the new clip won the award for best music video and artistic management at the European Film Festival, going through best music video at the Asian International Film Festival, to best music video at the Canada in addition to being crowned with the awards for best director and best cinematography at the Cineawards festival, in addition to its nomination for best music video and best setting at the Independent Film Festival.
Shams expressed his immense happiness for all these honors, saying, “I thank everyone who helped make this achievement, and I am happy for the clip’s deserving crowning and winning eight international awards.” Shams is the first artist from the Arab world to receive so many international awards for a lyrical photographic work.
