NASA’s Mars Perseverance spacecraft successfully landed on the planet on Friday, confirmed by Indo-American scientist Swati Mohan, who led the mission.
“Confirm the landing! “Perseverance is safe on Mars, and it’s ready to start looking for signs of past life,” said Dr. Mohan, director of operations.
The video, posted by NASA, went viral on social media, with many praising Dr Mohan’s central role and calm demeanor. Meanwhile, Dr Mohan Bindi caught the attention of Indians and they felt proud that she comfortably represents his cultural heritage. Internet users were in awe of Dr. Swati’s cheerful appearance.
On the Bundy, some netizens have said they’ve been physically harassed for wearing one, which means it’s important for Dr Mohan to wear it to NASA and even own it.
Many on social media were in awe of Dr Swati’s cultural appearance, which is in stark contrast to his achievement. Others praised Dr Mohan for being the woman as she led the mission.
A few others tweeted that they were moved when they saw a woman in space, which was once considered a male stronghold.
A NASA scientist immigrated from India to the United States with her family when she was one year old and spent most of her childhood in the northern Virginia-Washington, DC area. Mr. Mohan graduated from Cornell University with a Masters and Doctorate in Aeronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
“I have been persisting for longer than I have been in any school. I have been tenacious for longer than my youngest daughter has been. Dr Mohan said: “I have occupied a large part of my life for a long time.
