Al-Marsad newspaper: Today, Sunday, an Egyptian court ruled the innocence of artist Rania Youssef on the charge of committing the crime of flagrant public action and contempt for religions in the case of hijab and back.
It is noteworthy that Yusef conducted a TV interview and when asked about the veil she said, “Oh, Lord, why? Without the veil I can see better and hidden, and since when we were veiled Egyptian women weren’t veiled, and the veil was imposed on us in the late seventies and early eighties.
And about deliberately showing her her “ass”, saying, “I found her sweet … and when you still have a sweet need, why don’t you show it, hide it and show it.” This made the Egyptians angry.
A number of lawyers had taken legal action against Rania Youssef, accusing her of inappropriate comments about the protrusion of her buttocks, the veil and religion, which was considered by some to be a contempt of religions and which angered the Egyptians at the time.
