Israel maintains contacts and talks with Arab countries to deal with “Iranian threat”

Official Israel Radio reported that Israel is in contact and talks with several Arab countries to establish a regional defense alliance, in the context of what it describes as the Iranian threat.

She referred to a secret meeting that took place between Defense Minister Benny Gantz and King Abdullah II of Jordan.

This meeting is part of several meetings held by senior Israeli officials with senior officials from several Arab countries in this regard.

In this context, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by telephone with the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi also held talks with his counterparts from the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

Israel Radio reported that high-level intelligence activity was underway with a number of countries with the aim of strengthening cooperation in this area.
