The regulation – which comes into force after 180 days from the date of its publication – stipulates that the authority offers the financial compensation that the inspection body receives for carrying out the periodic inspection of vehicles and submits it to the cabinet for approval. .

The organization also set a number of penalties for violations of inspection bodies, amounting to a fine of 100,000 riyals and a shutdown for 6 months, while assigning employees to the surveillance and monitoring. inspection of inspection bodies.

The system limits the inspection bodies to detecting technical faults in the vehicle, locomotive, trailer and semi-trailer, as well as any malfunctions that may arise therein, which the inspection body does not carry out. no maintenance or repair activity or the sale or purchase of spare parts.

He also pointed out that the periodic technical examination of vehicles is carried out in accordance with the instructions, technical regulations and standard specifications related to the authority, provided that the electronic system used understands the efficiency and realism of service delivery, to all stages of the examination. , with the provision of a technical liaison service with the competent authority and authorities.

The organization requires that the electronic technical examination program adopts the modern examination concept, in particular the technical and administrative integration of the examination body’s program in an electronic environment, and that the examination body adheres to modern computer technologies to link all periodic technical examination procedures technically to ensure quality and speed of performance.
