Al-Marsad Diary: Saudi female rider Madawi Al-Qahtani entered the horse racing world, until she became the first Saudi female rider after obtaining a horse license from Janadriyah Square.
Al-Qahtani said the racing world requires special abilities to achieve the best results for horses, explaining, “I started 15 years ago and got a training jump license from the Saudi Federation. “
She explained that I had established the first female riding school in the Janadriyah region in 2016, and during my riding experiences I suffered injuries, but that did not stop me from realizing my ambition until I obtain the license that qualifies me to compete in races, according to “Al Arabiya Net”.
She said her goal was not to win championships, but to train runners in jumping, endurance and races, stressing: “I have participated in show jumping tournaments, including the most recent was in 2019 and I got second place. ”
For her part, Areej Al-Qahtani, Madawi’s sister, tweeted on her official Twitter account: “I am honored to announce with love and happiness that my sister, the knight, Madawi Al-Qahtani, has obtained a license of imagination, so that she will be the first Saudi woman to get it, and she becomes the first jockey to enter the world of racing in the kingdom. Congratulations, my dear.
