He described this initiative as representing radical reform and can lead to improved wages for some highly skilled workers, getting a fair wage, the recruitment process, as well as promoting job location for Saudis.

About 7 million workers in Saudi Arabia are benefiting from this initiative, with the exception of some professions such as private driver, domestic workers, gardener and shepherd and caretaker.

The sponsor cancellation system went into effect in Saudi Arabia, from today, Sunday, as part of the initiative to improve the contractual relationship and develop the working environment.

Last November, the Department of Human Resources and Social Development launched the Improving the Contractual Relationship Initiative, which is one of the initiatives of the National Transformation Program which aims to support the Department’s vision of building a market attractive employment, empowering and developing human resources. skills.

The initiative provides a job mobility service, which allows a migrant worker to move to another job upon expiration of their employment contract without needing the employer’s approval.

The initiative also defines the transition mechanisms during the term of the contract, provided that the notice period and the specified controls are respected. It also provides an exit and return service, which allows a migrant worker to travel outside of Saudi Arabia, upon submitting the application, with an online notification to the employer.

The final exit service allows a migrant worker to leave immediately after the end of the contract, with electronic notification from the employer without requiring their consent.

The initiative provides 3 services for expatriate workers, which are professional mobility, final exit, exit and return, and related to existing and expired contracts, and exceptional cases who do not have a contract or who do not receive not their salary.
