Adel Hashem is considered one of the most important pioneers of Egyptian theater over the past four decades, as he worked as an actor and director in many important theatrical works during this period.

Adel Hashem was born in Cairo in 1939, he started performing at an early age through school theater during his studies at King Nasser Elementary School of Ms. Zainab, and up to high school level at Saidia School, and he first enrolled in the Faculty of Law based on his father’s desire, and after failing the first year, he decided to transfer to study at the Institute of Social Work until he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1962, and after graduating, he passed the national theater exams and was assigned to it.
