On Monday evening, Egyptian artist Adel Hashem died at the age of 82.

The body’s funeral is scheduled for today, Tuesday, after afternoon prayers from the Sayyida Nafisa Mosque in the capital city of Cairo.

The late artist was born in the governorate of Cairo in 1939. He obtained a BA from the Institute of Social Service and then a doctorate in sociology, and worked in television and film, where he held several positions in the theatrical organization and directed a number of plays.

In addition, his first experience in theatrical directing was through the playing of people, and he presented the series of Muhammad, the Messenger of God, and Raafat Al-Hagan, the magistracy in Islam, the Halawani gate, the history of Medina, and the heroes.

The late artist has also appeared in numerous films, including The Man Who Sold, The Elf of the Day, Nasser 56, Deux heures d’hreur, 90 minutes, La guerre d’Italie, Calamity and His High Brain, Autre my daughter and The Peacock.
