The newspaper “Nidaa Al Watan” highlighted the loss of subsidized food from the market, indicating imaginary price differences between one store and another, and the total number of consumers falling to more than 80 percent.

The newspaper said some stores in Nabatiyeh, in southern Lebanon, were victims of fraud signing papers to receive subsidized goods they did not receive in the first place.

The dollar’s exchange rate declined slightly against the Lebanese pound during today’s trading, Tuesday, March 30, on the informal parallel market.
