At the beginning, tell us about the series “National Security”, and how did you achieve your dream?
I participate in the very distinguished series “National Security” with the big stars Ahmed Ezz, Hind Sabry, Salah Abdullah and Hisham Selim, directed by Ahmed Alaa and written by Baher Dewidar. And I love the works that belong to the Egyptian Intelligence Championships, and I hope to play any part in that context and the dream has come true with this series, which tells a story from the archives of the Egyptian Intelligence Championships. You recently presented the movie “Dungeon 7”. What are the main reasons for your enthusiasm for this and for the experience?
The movie “Dungeon 7” is a very special work. Its heroes were a great group of important stars and I was happy to participate with Ahmed Zahir, Maya Nasri, Abeer Sabri and other stars, and I was excited to work for several reasons, the most important of which is that the story is great and the script is very good and they are for the distinguished screenwriter Hussam Moussa, who collaborated with him before that in two works, the series “The Secret” and “chess”.
In “Cell 7”, I presented a very different good character in my acting career, and it is the character of Mansour Al-Ayek that I was very happy to present, and I was satisfied with all the experience and of the distinguished young director, Abram Neshat, who was striving to prove himself and prove his talent. I consider the work to be a success and a meaningful and wonderful adventure.
I also presented a recent film called “High Pressure” .. But it was subjected to difficult circumstances and did not achieve the required success.
“High Pressure” is a very good film and its story is distinguished. He has many artistic faces and real success factors, but unfortunately the producer of the film did not advertise him enough so that the audience did not know anything about it and therefore did not achieve success. wish.
Does advertising really fail an entire movie like this?
Of course, of course, and unfortunately, some producers consider that advertising is not important, but rather as a luxury which one can do without and which is not a basis for the production process, and therefore they save money. advertising expenditure and that hurts the film because at the end the audience has to know that there is a certain work and it will only be done by one method, which is the intensification of advertisements and propaganda, and in the film ” High Pressure, ”the producer didn’t bother to advertise himself in the first place, besides the timing of his presentation was bad and very unfair.
How do you explain the lack of success of some of your works among the masses?
I will not deny that I have been subjected to very difficult problems in my film career, which may in the first place be the cause of the lack of public success as some of my works demanded. the first of which is the product that has to protect the work and serve it for people to know about it, as well as a good director, a distinct screenplay and a talented actor, but in all honesty there is always one piece that is missing. work and causes a problem.
She’s been very successful in comedy, so why didn’t she turn to comedy after the “Naji Atallah” series?
Comedy is no stranger to me, and our Lord has honored me with the love of people in comedy since I started in the series “Tamer and Shawqia”, which was presented in 5 parts, in which I played the role of Mr. Microbus, and the work was very successful. But I did not continue in comedy for reasons, the most important of which is that the subject is presented and asked and not m isn’t offered much Comedy roles, which I don’t like sometimes, and I used to reject some comedy roles because I wanted the role to be higher than the previous one, and that made me nervous about taking on any comic book job.
One of the reasons for my withdrawal from comedy is also that I was afraid of the idea that there would be a stereotype or a clash and confined to a comedic role that I cannot change. That’s why I want to change myself and play all the roles of tragedy, romance, social and comedy.
How do you see your cooperation with Adel Imam and how do you see him as a permanent leader?
To be with Adel Imam was a very big dream, and I only hoped to greet him or see him up close. And the idea of me standing next to him in a comedic role was bigger than my dreams, because I consider him the president of the Republic of Laughter.
And the title of leader that the public gave to the artist Adel Imam a deserved name .. And the titles really desirable that the public be the one who gives them to the artist because the public is the basis of all titles and successes and is the basis of the subject, and the leader, Adel Imam at all levels is a great gift .. It is a long history and a life in the service of art. And the audience and the presentation of many wonderful and successful works, all without exception, be it tragic, comic or social. After this great story, he really deserves all the titles, and when you travel to any country .. I am told Egypt, the pyramids, the Nile is just an imam, it’s like all that and a great Science.
