Egyptian media confirmed on Sunday that police arrested popular singer Hassan Shakoush for breaking the law.

The news, which was published by several Egyptian newspapers, run by “Akhbar Al-Youm”, spread like wildfire on social networking sites, in particular the “Twitter” platform, where the lists trends are published, because of what Hassan Shakoush did.

Shakoush broke the law after opening an unlicensed “cafe” and failed to obtain the necessary approvals and conditions for opening.

Egyptian police reported that Shakush took control of the sidewalk and also cut off the highway. Legal action had been taken against him, the “cafe” had been closed with red wax and the incident had been referred to the prosecution for investigation.

The hashtag “Hassan Shakoush is breaking the law” on Twitter, where tweeters expressed disapproval of what happened, demanding that the law be applied to everyone.
