Screenwriter Maryam Naoum will take part in the eleventh edition of the Malmö Arab Film Festival, to be held in Sweden from April 6 to 11.

The Egyptian writer presents one of the most important seminars of the festival, under the title “The writing room in the Arab world”, in which she addresses the challenges of the transition from individual writing to collective writing, the challenges of confronting the author’s individuality within theatrical writing; and the conflict with the old schools which see in writing theaters a reason for the deterioration in the level of film and television drama content.

The colloquium will be held on Saturday April 10, from 6.30 am to 8 pm, during which art critic Ahmed Shawky will speak with her.

On the other hand, Maryam Naoum participates in the season of Ramadan 2021 in the series “Khali Balak Min Zizi”, with Amina Khalil, Muhammad Mamdouh, Ali Qassem, Salwa Muhammad Ali and Safaa Al-Toukhi. The series was written by a storytelling workshop under the supervision of writing by Maryam Naoum, script and dialogue by Mona El-Shimy and Magdy Amin, and directed by Karim El-Shennawy.

She also recently saw the series “Half-Maganin”, the first season of which was broadcast last January in 12 episodes on the viu platform, after its first presentation at the 42nd session of the Cairo International Film Festival as part of Cairo Film Industry Days. section.
