On Thursday, Iraqi authorities announced that 21 people had been placed in quarantine on suspicion of being infected with the Indian strain of Corona, and that they are relatives of a suspected case recently returned from India.

And a number of Arab countries have recently announced the suspension of the reception of travelers from India, in anticipation of the outbreak of the Indian strain of the deadly virus on their soil.

Countries that imposed entry restrictions on arrivals from India were Lebanon, Oman, Kuwait, Sudan, Jordan, United Arab Emirates and Iraq.

Some countries have imposed unprecedented measures on those who come to their lands from India, including jail terms and fines.

Australia made it illegal to enter its territory from India and threatened with five years in prison and a fine of $ 66,600.

Under the Emergency Law, based on the Biosafety Act, anyone who has been in India in the past 14 days will be charged with a felony if they come to Australia.

The United States has also decided to impose restrictions on travelers from India, starting May 4, but has not revealed more details.
