The director of the Center for Research and Social Studies of the House of Expertise in Al-Ahsa, Khaled Al-Halibi, spoke today (Tuesday) on the rate of child abuse in the Kingdom, according to the latest statistics.
Al-Halibi explained, in an interview with Al-Ekhbariya channel, that the percentage rose from 22% to 23-24%, indicating that one of the reasons is the negligence of parents in the education of their sons and girls.
He also referred to a previous study by the Ministry of Social Affairs, before its merger with the Ministry of Labor, indicating that the percentage of educationally neglected children in the Kingdom is high.
He added that every family should be responsible for raising their children and monitoring their activities, especially on the websites they frequent, to protect them from internet crimes that threaten their innocence.
