Dr Hassan Kamal, head of the Egyptian Olympic Committee medical committee and head of the medical delegation to Egypt participating in the Tokyo Olympics, revealed that the Egyptian Olympic Committee had received a letter from the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announcing the removal of Egypt from the list of countries on which medical warnings and restrictions were placed during the Olympic Games.
Hassan Kamal said: “The Tokyo Olympic Games Organizing Committee has identified some countries that will have medical restrictions due to the Corona virus, and they have been divided into two categories, which include a large number of countries, including the ‘England and the United Arab Emirates.
He added: “Today a decision was made to remove Egypt from the list of countries on which restrictions were imposed, and it was decided to cancel the quarantine scheduled for three days in Japan after the arrival of the mission staff and suffice with the work of the Corona virus smears that are carried out before traveling to Egypt.
He continued, “The medical committee and the board of directors of the Egyptian Olympic Committee headed by Hisham Hatab, over the past few days we have made several correspondence and inquiries to the organizing committee, and through these communications and the action plan that has been implemented, and today we have received calls that Egypt has been removed from this list. ”
He concluded his statements: “The Egyptian Olympic Committee’s board of directors is providing all the medical capabilities to secure the Egyptian mission in Tokyo, and we have an action plan that we are working on to implement with precision, and it there are meetings with sports federations in order to learn about the applications of the Olympic Games. “
