Nassar added – in an episode of the program “Culture in Your Home”, broadcast on the digital platform of the 52nd Cairo International Book Fair, that the great artist Wadih Al-Safi loved music since his childhood and studied the maqams of Arabic music. , adding that he had a great ability to improvise while singing – a characteristic that few singers have.

He added that Al-Safi, when he settled in Cairo, the East Hollywood in the Arab world, met with great success, and that is why the East Planet called Umm Kulthum, “The Master of Tarab”, noting that he was honored in Lebanon by five Presidents of the Republic and received the Order of the Republic in the Knight class, for his great success, not only in Egypt but in the Arab world.

For his part, Ashraf Abdel Rahman, assistant professor of music criticism at the Academy of Arts, said that artist Wadih Al-Safi is the pioneer of Lebanese song and the founder of the classical Lebanese school of song, because he had a mountain voice resonance and possessed a very large sound space and had a great sense of rap, through which he was able to spread Lebanese song to the world.

He explained that the nomadic artist had created a group to revive Lebanese folklore and that he had achieved great success. He also obtained Egyptian nationality in honor of the song “Great, Egypt”, which greatly influenced the Egyptian people.
