A technical report has revealed that the Galaxy Watch 4 line, due to be unveiled next August, will feature a fundamental change in the software of Samsung smartwatches.

And the famous technical site “Sammobile” close to Samsung, indicated that the South Korean company will bypass its operating system for Samsung Tizen watches in favor of Google’s Wear operating system.

The site attributed this to what it described as “Samsung’s desire and promotion to access Google Play and a high-quality set of apps.”

“With access to more apps than the Tizen platform could offer, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic owners will need more storage,” the report explains.

For this reason, all Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic models will come with 16 GB of storage, which is double the storage capacity of the Galaxy Watch 3 and 4 times more than the Galaxy Watch 2.

And the increased storage isn’t the only big spec that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic upgrade will bring to users, as the Galaxy Watch 4 line will be powered by the new 5nm Exynos W920 chipset, which features ‘a processor up to faster. at 1.25 times and a massive 8.8 times increase in graphics performance over the Exynos 9110 found in today’s smartwatches.

There will be 1.5 GB of RAM accompanying the chipset, although this is not new as 1.5 GB of RAM was also available on some older Samsung smartwatches.

The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are set to be unveiled on August 11, along with new Samsung foldable phones and wireless headphones.

According to Amazon, the watches will go on sale from August 27 with features like a rotating physical bezel and a body composition sensor.
