Oil prices fell sharply today, Monday, after the “OPEC +” group agreed to increase production, raising fears of oversupply of crude as Covid-19 infections increase around the world .
Global benchmark Brent crude contracts fell 5.5% to $ 69.55 per barrel at 2:25 pm GMT, while U.S. crude contracts fell more than 6% to $ 67.42 per barrel.
The drop came after the “OPEC +” group agreed to increase production, which raised concerns about a crude surplus, given the high incidence of corona in some countries around the world.
