Jordanian economic researcher Amer Al-Shobaki said the Jordanian government has increased gasoline prices by 25% since the start of this year, to record the highest price in the country’s history.
He said: “The total of those increases from the start of this year to today on 90 gasoline has reached 16.5 piastres per liter, at the rate of 25%, bringing the price of a tank ( 20 liters) at 16.6 dinars.
He continued: “Jordanian markets will witness, from tomorrow, the start of the implementation of the new pricing of petroleum derivatives, the highest historical price recorded for 95 gasoline in the history of Jordan.”
As for petrol 95, the total increase amounted to 19 piastres per liter, an increase of 22%, bringing the price of an oil tanker to 21.4 dinars.
Regarding diesel and petrol, it increased in total by 14.5 piastres per liter, an increase of 31%, bringing the price of diesel and kerosene to 12.3 dinars.
