The doctor pointed out that if vaccines against the virus had not appeared, the development of collective immunity of the population would have required 6-10 waves of infection.
The Swiss doctor called for vaccinating as many of the population as quickly as possible in order to achieve collective immunity. The expert added that the world would return to normal life faster if more people were vaccinated.
