Egyptian karate player Feryal Ashraf Abdel Aziz gave her country the first gold medal in the competitions today, Saturday, penultimate, of the Olympic Games “Tokyo 2020”, in Japan.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian Tariq Hamdi lost the Olympic gold medal in the men’s 75 kg karate competition “Kumte”, after being ejected from the final match against his Iranian competitor, Sajjad Kanjazadeh, by an arbitration award for committing a technical error of the fourth degree, due to “violent play”. Where the Saudi kicked the face of his Iranian opponent, knocking him to the ground, leaving the room injured on the stretcher, and excluding Al-Hamdi, while he was ahead (4-1) on his opponent two minutes before the end, to settle for the silver medal.

Bahraini runner Kalkidan Jizahijn gave her country the first medal at the Olympic Summer Games, currently being held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, by winning silver in the 10,000 meters.
Kalkidan Jizahigen took second place, cutting off the race which took place on Saturday, with a time of 29 minutes 56.18 seconds.
Meanwhile, Dutchman Sivan Hassan won the gold medal, having run the race with a time of 29 minutes 55.33 seconds.
While the bronze medal went to the Ethiopian Letesenbet Gedi, who reached the third final streak after 30 minutes 1.72 seconds.
