Deputy Hajj and Umrah Minister Dr Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman Mashat said the Hajj and Umrah Ministry worked in coordination with other relevant authorities before the start of the Umrah season 1443 AH , to put in place executive mechanisms and create a safe and accessible environment for pilgrims throughout their journey to ensure safety, security and human health.
Regarding the safety standards of transport services, he said the number of passengers on the bus will not exceed 50% of the capacity of the bus, while maintaining a safe distance inside the bus, providing sterilizers and securing pilgrim permits issued by “Umrah and We Trust” apps before boarding the bus, noting that the transport hubs at stations (Keddi and Al-Shesha) and assembly points around the Great Mosque of Mecca (Ajyad, Bab Ali and Al-Shabikah) have been equipped according to precise procedures to implement the highest standards and the health precautionary measures set by the competent authorities, to receive pilgrims and worshipers from inside and outside the Kingdom, pointing out that Rahman’s guests Those who have obtained entry permits to the Great Mosque of Mecca through the “Umrahna wa Wa Tawakkalna” applications can pay the value of this optional service via the “Umrahna wa Tawakkalna” applications, in order to save time and avoid waiting in transport centers.
Mashat said the ministry is working, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to determine the countries from which pilgrims are offered, and their number on a periodic basis according to the classification of preventive measures, and the requirements for the countries from which pilgrims and visitors come to the Kingdom, and accreditation of qualified service providers (Umrah companies, hotels and transport companies) in accordance with the regulations. marketing platforms approved in the Saudi central booking engine, and electronic ratification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for contracts entered into between external agents and Saudi Arabian Umrah companies, in accordance with the requirements of the remote work to protect against the risk of spreading the Corona covid 19 virus.
Regarding the health protocols for pilgrims inside the Kingdom, he indicated that vaccination will be a prerequisite for the realization of Umrah, for prayer in the Great Mosque and for the visit of the Prophet’s Mosque, as shown. application “Tawakulna” for the three categories of vaccination (vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine against the Corona virus, or a person who has passed 14 days. As for pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, a vaccination certificate certified by the official authorities of the pilgrim’s country must be included in the justifications for requesting the performance of the rituals, on the condition that the vaccines are approved in the Kingdom. , in addition to recognition of the accuracy of information, and compliance with institutional quarantine procedures for the entry of travelers from the Kingdom from Countries from which direct entry into the Kingdom is still suspended, according to the mechanisms approved by the competent authority authorities.
The Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah called for the need to respect the organizational plans and sanitary procedures established by the ministry in cooperation with the competent authorities for the safety of pilgrims and those who serve them and to prevent the spread of the Corona virus and its variants; and the need to obtain a permit for Umrah through the “We Trust and Umrah” app.
