The ministry said there are several risks, including the conspicuous presence of older people on these occasions, high risks in older age groups and the rapid spread of the virus in large gatherings.

She explained the reasons for stopping the events, which are incomplete vaccination with the second dose, mitigating the spread of the pandemic and limiting its effects, recording events with high rates of spread of the virus, reducing the risk of the virus spreading in society and the presence of mutants at the current stage of the virus.

The ministry said the most significant current challenges are controlling the wearing of masks, tightening control over all participants, and enforcing social and physical distancing.
