The talented artist was born in January 1937, graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture of Cairo University, and at the start of his artistic career he met George Sidhom and guest Ahmed, and together they formed the troupe “Three Lights of Theater”, this group which shone strongly and managed to attract attention, and presented many theatrical and cinematographic works. Very successful, and the audience is still attached to it to this day.

After the departure of guest Ahmed, Samir Ghanem continued with George Sidhom, where they performed a number of plays together, the most important of which was the play “The Bride and Groom”.

Samir Ghanem also didn’t stop giving, but continued on his own as a comedy star, and presented the puzzles, reviews and personalities which were well received by the audience.

The deceased also presented more than 300 works of art, the last of which was his appearance in the series “Badal Al-Haduta Talata”, accompanied by his daughter Donia Samir Ghanem, while his last appearance on screen during the month of Ramadan was through an advertising campaign in which he participated alongside his late wife Dalal Abdel Aziz and his daughter Amy Samir Ghanem. .

It should be noted that the deceased had suffered before his death from an attack that affected kidney functions due to the virus, which led to the deterioration of vital functions, then he was placed on artificial ventilators until his death.
