The Economic Appeal Court of Egypt upheld the decision of the correctional court, “the court of first instance”, acquitting Sama Al-Masry of his charge of insulting and disturbing the media, Reham Saeed.
The court also rejected the civil lawsuit filed by Reham Saeed against his compatriot Sama Al-Masry. According to Egyptian media.
It should be noted that lawyer Shaaban Saeed, media advocate, Reham Saeed, has submitted a request to the relevant public prosecutor in Egypt, to appeal the verdict of acquittal of Al-Masry.
Reham Saeed’s defense based his claim on the law enforcement error of the court that issued the acquittal verdict, he submitted.
Ashraf Nagy, lawyer for Sama Al-Masry, argued that the accusation was fabricated, that the incident was incorrect and that the charges against Reham Saeed were false.
The economic tribunal had previously acquitted Sama Al-Masry in the new case brought against her by the media outlet, Reham Saeed, on charges of insult, slander and abuse of social media.
It should be noted that the court heard statements from Sama Al-Masry, as she denied all the charges against her, and as a result the court ruled that she had been acquitted of all the charges against her.
