Al-Marsad Journal: An official from the World Health Organization explained that data from some countries indicates that the variable “delta” leads to an increased risk of hospitalization.
“There is an increased risk of hospitalization for people with the delta variant,” said Maria Van Kerkhove, technical manager of the “Corona” virus at the World Health Organization, according to “Russia Today”.
“But we haven’t seen this translate into an increase in deaths,” she explained. “People with the delta strain did not die more often than other strains.”
Global health officials considered the “delta” variant as dangerous as other strains of people with underlying diseases such as obesity, diabetes or heart disease.
