Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – 9 Arab countries won a total of 18 medals with the conclusion of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Qatar came first in the Arab world and placed 41st in the world with two medals gold in high jump and weightlifting and a bronze in seaside volleyball.

The list included 8 other Arab countries that have won Olympic medals, with Egypt ranking 54th in the Arab world with six medals, one gold, one silver and four bronze. Followed by Tunisia, which ranked 58th in the world, with gold and silver.

In fourth place in the Arab world came Morocco (63rd globally) with a gold medal, then Jordan in 74th place with two silver and bronze medals.

Bahrain was the sixth Arab (77 in the world) to win a silver medal. Then Saudi Arabia (77th in the world) also won the silver medal.

Kuwait placed 86th on the world list with a bronze medal. Finally, Syria (the ninth in the Arab world) placed 86th with a bronze medal.
