Travel ban in certain countries due to Corona

Last May, the Saudi Interior Ministry announced new procedures for traveling to certain countries where the epidemiological situation is still at high risk, and travel to these countries is prohibited without obtaining prior authorization.

At the time, the ministry also called on citizens wishing to travel to countries where travel is permitted to exercise caution and stay away from areas of instability or the spread of the virus, and to follow all precautionary measures, whatever their situation. destination.

On May 29, an official source from the Saudi Interior Ministry announced that people from the United Arab Emirates, Germany, America, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden, the Swiss Confederation, France and Japan will be allowed to enter the Kingdom.

He also affirmed the application of institutional quarantine procedures against those who come from countries to which it applies.

20 countries

It should be noted that the Saudi Ministry of the Interior announced on February 2, 2021 the temporary suspension of the entry into the Kingdom of non-citizens, diplomats, health professionals and their families for those coming from 20 countries as part of preventive measures.

The list of twenty countries included Argentina, United Arab Emirates, Germany, America, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Pakistan, Brazil, Portugal, United Kingdom, Turkey, the Republic of South Africa, Sweden, the Swiss Confederation, France, Lebanon, Egypt, India and Japan. This includes those coming from other countries if they have passed through one of those countries in the 14 days preceding the application for entry into the Kingdom.

He also added at the time that the entry of citizens, diplomats, medical professionals and their families from the aforementioned countries or who passed through them in any of these countries during the 14 days prior to their return to the Kingdom is in accordance with the precautionary measures determined by the Ministry of Health.
