Today (Wednesday), the writer and poet, Dr Ahmed bin Yahya Al-Bahkali, passed away from his infection with the new virus “Corona” (Covid 19).
Abd al-Rahman al-Bahkali, son of the deceased, wept; His father wrote a line of poetry in which he said:
I took off the robe of patience that I was wearing
And that my claim that I was whipping was wrong
I cried until someone who didn’t know me cried
I was sculpted until a singing bird told me
(Indeed, to God) is a saying that will help him relax
Those who judge and those who deny are equal
A number of poets and community symbols have expressed their deep sorrow over the death of “Al-Bahkali”, asking Almighty God for mercy and forgiveness, noting that he was one of the teachers of science, of literature and humanity.
The late is considered one of the flags of the Jazan region, a writer and a pioneer of thought, literature and culture, and he is a member of the Human Rights Commission.
