Director and producer Ahmed Afifi has announced the return of director Khaled Youssef to Cairo and to carry out his work normally from his office in Cairo after several years of absence.

Youssef is preparing to shoot his new film “Bienvenue à Paris”, which is a human story that revolves around the suffering of 3 Arab women detained in France inside a prison who are linked by a relationship of friendship to inside their prison, stressing that the interview is about a true story and not about a copy of a fiction.

Filming will begin in September, and some shots will be shot in studios in Beirut, and 4 Egyptian artists will participate in the film, including Maged Al-Masry.

Khaled Youssef, born in 1964, was a pupil of the great director Youssef Chahine, and has produced numerous works which have been very successful on the critical and public level, including “Passport by republican decree” and “Legitimate treason” . Among his works, which generated much controversy, were “Dokan Shehata” and “Hena Maysarah”.
