The Argentine Federation issued an official statement expressing its dissatisfaction with the decision to suspend the match, noting that it was surprised by the decision of the Brazilian Ministry of Health after the start of the match.
In its statement, the federation indicated that the delegation of the Argentine national team has been in Brazilian territory since the morning of the 3rd of this month, in accordance with all the health protocols in force approved by CONMEBOL for the Qatar 2022 qualifiers. .
He added that he will await a report from the CONMEBOL officials and the match referee, and that the information will be sent to the competent body of the International “FIFA” Federation in accordance with the regulations in force.
He concluded his statement by stressing that football should not suffer from this kind of behavior which affects such important events.
