Emirati knight makes history through its widest gates

The riders from the United Arab Emirates achieved a remarkable feat after winning today, Thursday, the title of the World Junior and Junior Endurance Championship, hosted by the Netherlands, for the third time in a row.

Emirati jockey Saeed Salem Ateeq Al Muhairi made history through his widest gates, having achieved the treble in his third World Cup appearance (2017, 2019 and 2021), where he retained the title World at the individual level, after winning the race which took place in the Dutch town of Ermelo over a distance of 120 km.

The other Emirati jockey, Abdullah Ali Muhammad Al-Amri, took second place and the runner-up in her first World Cup appearance, on horseback, “Tunque de Po Basel”, with a time of 5.09 ,19 hours.

And came in third place, the Spanish jockey, Badia Marfa, on “Zaryab”, recording a time of 5.0925 hours.

About 75 jockeys representing 22 countries participated in the “Al-Qudra” race, and the championship was held under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation, and 7 judges conducted the competitions.

Tomorrow, Friday, the crowning ceremonies of champions will be held in the village of “Al Qudra” in the town of Armello, which hosted the activities of the championship, and on the sidelines of the event, the European Championship on a distance of 160 km will be contested.

The global achievement is the second for UAE sport of ‘ability’ this year, having won the Adult World Championship about 4 months ago in the Italian city of Pisa by champion Salem Hamad Malhouf Al Ketbi, in addition to winning second place. by jockey Mansour Al Farsi.
