Facebook Launches Smart And Stylish Collaboration With Ray-Ban That Represent Everything You See

[ad_1]

Designed by Ray-Ban, Facebook launched smart glasses that can film anything you see and can upload screenshots to social media to share with your friends.

The glasses can be used for taking photos and videos, thanks to the built-in 5 megapixel cameras.

Three microphones are also used to answer phone calls.

Video is recorded using Ray-Ban Stories glasses, at a resolution of 1184 x 1184 at 30 frames per second, with a 105-degree field of view.

You can take clips up to 30 seconds long. It can also take photos at 2592 x 1944 pixels, if you prefer.

The camera is activated by pressing a button or with a voice command “Hey Facebook”. The storage on the device includes 35 videos and up to 500 photos, but it can be offloaded in seconds to the new Facebook View app and the device can be erased for easy reuse.

And if you’re freaking out about privacy, Facebook has helped create an in-camera LED warning indicator that will blink if you’re recording a video or taking photos, alerting people near you to take a picture.

But unfortunately, there is no way to prevent users from taking hidden screenshots in public places.

The glasses are designed to be as stylish as possible and are available in standard Ray-Ban options. This includes the Wayfarer, Round, and Meteor models, with six different lens types, including prescription options.

Five colors are also available: glossy black, matte black, glossy blue, glossy olive and glossy brown.

All models come with a battery powered charging box. About six hours of use can be obtained from Ray-Ban Stories, according to Facebook.

a report:

Charging from zero to 100% takes about 70 minutes, or 50% in 30 minutes.

If the case is fully charged, the user will receive three charges of Ray-Ban Stories glasses.

The Facebook View app is free and allows you to upload or share media across multiple social media platforms, which (obviously) includes Facebook and Instagram.

Ray-Ban Stories sunglasses cost around $ 299 (or $ 329 if they’re polarized).

It can be pricey for some people, but it’s a fun alternative to a GoPro for the average consumer.

Ray-Ban Stories sunglasses are sold on Ray-Ban.com.
