A feud broke out between Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri and Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti, during the match between their two teams yesterday, Saturday, in the third round of the Italian Football League.
Juventus lost the game 1-2, after leading with an unanswered goal.
Sky Sport Italia reported that Allegri and Spalletti faced off in the press room after the match was over, noting that the atmosphere was very tense and charged.
She added that Spalletti was angry at statements by Allegri, who said his players’ mistakes caused his side to lose to Napoli, which Spalletti saw as a derogation from players on his team who made a big effort in the match.
Spalletti said in the post-match press conference: “I went to greet Allegri after the game, but he kept walking and ignored me. I was losing a lot to Juventus, and as soon as I won, he wants to lecture me! “
With the win, Napoli took their score to 9 points at the top of the Italian league table, while Juventus’ balance froze at one point in 16th place.
