The UAE Health Services Foundation organized a Youth Seminar on Youth and the Future of Mental Health, which discussed ways to promote and disseminate best experiences and practices in the field of mental health. and communicate positive messages that help promote youth mental health, their role in sustainable development and the way forward. Dr Youssef Mohammed Al Serkal, Director General of the Foundation, praised the efforts of the young people of the Foundation, in organizing seminars to review vital topics of interest to groups in society, in terms of investing in the future, empowering young people and motivating them to be more creative and innovative, reflecting the Foundation’s efforts to become at the forefront of government agencies that provide active support and make the most of capacities and the experiences of young people.

He stressed that the Foundation attaches particular importance to the youth category in its health and psychology programs, and works in cooperation with the community and relevant government agencies, to implement comprehensive and integrated programs aimed at improving the youth mental health, in accordance with the guidance of wise leaders on the importance of young people and empowering them to be pioneers in building the future of the UAE in various sectors of the state.

She explained that the event had three axes, namely prevention and promotion of comprehensive and integrated mental health services, and digital mental health. It emphasizes the prevention of mental disorders, quality of life and mental well-being, as well as the expansion and integration of integrated and adapted services, care and mental health services for young people. Besides discussing the topic of digital mental health based on artificial intelligence in mental health, smart applications and virtual care.
