Egyptian football club Al-Ahly has announced a deduction of 300,000 pounds from each player in the first team, after the loss of the Egyptian Super Cup to the Army Vanguards yesterday Tuesday.
Mahmoud Al-Khatib, chairman of the board of directors of the Al-Ahly club, overseeing the football sector at Red Club, made the decision to deduct such an amount also from the director of football and each member of the technical staff, and in percentage of the rest of the administrative and medical staff, according to their salaries.
This came after the team’s performance in the Super Match yesterday, losing 3-2 on penalties, after the original time had expired and extra time in a 0-0 draw.
The club’s statement confirmed: “The sanctions have come from the club’s constant and in light of the great support given to the football first-team system to achieve the ambitions of the club and its fans.”

The Tala’a El-Geish Club has written its name in golden letters in the history of the Egyptian Supercup by crowning its first title by winning the title of the 18th edition of the competition postponed last year.
On the other hand, Al-Ahly failed to enhance his record (11 titles) with the number of winning goals in the 12 title competition.
