Today, Sunday, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Dr Muhammad Al-Abdali, reviewed the developments of the new pandemic of the Corona virus, and the latest decisions regarding anti-vaccines.
He stressed during the press conference on the evolution of the pandemic, that the indicators proved that the Kingdom is in advanced positions in the world in the face of the pandemic and the rates of recovery of Corona, noting that the remaining steps are very important in the face of the pandemic.
Regarding the third dose of the vaccine, Al-Abdali said preparations are currently underway to administer the third dose to the elderly, especially those over 60 who have received the second dose for 8 months, stressing that the details of their inclusion in the booster doses will be announced shortly.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health identified the categories covered by the booster dose, namely patients with renal failure, those who have had an organ transplant and the elderly, noting that booster doses actually began to be administered to the first two categories.
He called on the people of the Kingdom to get the second dose of the vaccine to complete the vaccination, stressing the importance of the second dose to achieve safety in the face of the Corona pandemic.
