One study found that smart clocks can help extend the lives of those who wear them by two years.
Research conducted on 420,000 adults shows that users of the fitness monitoring device spend about 5 additional days of activity per month, which researchers say would result in an extra two years of life.
The study showed that the most significant improvements were observed in overweight and less active people.
About one in five participants received Apple Smart Watches and Vitality offered discounts if some participants achieved certain goals. All participants remained active about two weeks before the start of the study. The researchers found that those who had smart hours had increased their physical activity level by one-third in two years, according to the study, the largest ever in intelligent technology and its relationship to health. Health Minister Matt Hancock welcomed the findings: smart technology can play a key role in preventing morbidity.
