The new test technique defines the DNA of cancer cells to differentiate liquid from healthy cells from cancer cells.
The new test has been tested on over 200 samples of people with cancer and unaffected people.
Scientists are currently conducting clinical trials on patients to see if there are any side effects or fault rates for this test.
