Tunisia celebrates Mahmoud Darwish's "clear text"

As the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the departure of the great Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish (1941-2008), an important cultural event to restore the distinct poetic voice of Darwish and celebrate his heritage, his poetry and his life in the "Mahmoud Darwish". Tunisia and in cooperation with the Tunisian National Theater.

This important cultural event included poetic readings and critical articles in the poetry and poems of the late poet, as well as an exhibition of Yasser Al-Jaradi's Arabic calligraphy and musical passages presented by Tunisian Sheikh Emam and interpreted by Wassif al-Geridi.

This cultural event was initiated by the Sudanese writer Salafah Khaled Mousa and was accompanied by Ramzi Al-Amouri and Sahar Al-Tilili of Tunisia. The Arab presence was important in this event through the presence of Syrian Abdullah al-Marish and Palestinian writer and novelist Hawamda Revolution, who presented an intervention through which the Darwish experience entitled "Mahmoud Darwish between Palestinian identity and Arab and humanity.

On this Arab celebration of the experience of Mahmoud Darwish, Abdul Latif Obaid, Deputy Secretary General of the League of Arab States, said the Arab League, despite the priority given to political action in its agendas and programs, celebrates all the symbols of Arab culture, which represents a strong bond between the sons of the same nation.

The cultural event is not limited to poetry readings, but rather to documentary films about the Palestinian poet, who has become a symbol of the strength of the Palestinian cause.

Mahmoud Darwish remains a unique poetic condition by the development of Arabic poetry and the introduction of the content of modernity, especially the symbolic dimension of poetry, and its success in the use of a glossary new and different poetry.
