NASA released high-resolution images of the surface of Mars after Insight arrived on November 26th.
NASA has released some of the most spectacular images of Mars ever seen, and the rugged terrain of the red planet appears, according to the British newspaper Daily Express.
Before these images, the only Insight images available to the public showed a dark scene: the vehicle was not fully deployed.
But the new images will allow NASA experts to determine the location of sliders and flow sensor in Insight.
"Today, we can see the first glimpses of our space and, by early next week, we will film specific details and create a complete mosaic," said Bruce Bannert, principal investigator NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
Insight also has a camera called Camera Context Camera under the deck, but the display may be slightly stuck.
NASA plans to plan the Rover 2020 mission to investigate the signs of primitive life that it believes to be below the surface.
