The AFC, informing National Member Federations on October 31, 2018, that the election of Executive Board members for the 2019-2023 session will take place at the 29th Assembly meeting on April 6, 2019 in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

The national member associations were given at midnight on 6 December 2018 to submit nominations in accordance with the requirements of the Statute (2018 version) and the electoral system of the Federation (version 2018) for the following positions:

President of the AFC, Vice President of FIFA, President of the AFC and six members of the FIFA Council, including a member of the AFC Executive Committee, five members of the Executive Board, Including a member of the FIFA Council and nine other members of the Executive Board of the CFA.

The AFC has received the following appointments for positions:

– CAF President and FIFA Vice President: Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa (Bahrain), Saud Abdul Aziz Al Mohannadi (Qatar) and Mohammed Khalfan Matar Saeed Al Rumaithi (United Arab Emirates).

– The five members of the AFC President:

(West Asia): Qusay Bin Abdul Aziz Al Fawaz (Saudi Arabia), Saud Abdul Aziz Al Mohannadi (Qatar) and Hashim Haider (Lebanon).

(Central Asia): Simitai Sultanov (Kyrgyzstan) and Mahdi Taj (Iran).

(South Asia): Makhdoom Sayed Saleh Faisal Hayat (Pakistan) and Parafol Patil (India).

(South-East Asia): Dato Haji Hamedin bin Haji Mohammed Amin (Malaysia), General Sumayut Pompanmong (Thailand), Dr. Tran Kwok Tuan (Vietnam) and Zaw Zhao (Myanmar).

(East Asia): Janbatar Amgalanbatar (Mongolia), Mung Game Chung (South Korea), Mr. Tu Zhaokai (China) and Valentino San Gil (Guam).

Candidates must undergo an eligibility check from the AFC Electoral Commission, as well as an eligibility test for the Federation Council Revision Committee. of FIFA.

The AFC Electoral Commission will be responsible for all tasks related to the organization, administration and supervision of elections. Elections to the Council of the International Federation will be attended by certain persons by the FIFA Governance Committee.

The final list of candidates is announced 30 days before the General Assembly, in accordance with the statutes (2018 version) and the AFC electoral system (2018).
