Google announced the closure of the final "Google Plus" application of its platform in April, a four-month difference from the one previously announced, which was to close the platform in August 2019.

According to the site "wired" specializing in technical news, the move came from Google due to the misuse of data from 52.2 million users on the application "Google Plus", for the second time in the history of this platform, pointing out that the data included name, email,, sex, age, date of birth and marital status.

The company confirmed that the data disclosed had not yet been used and that the damage caused by the leak had not been caused by any user.

This decision is due to security vulnerabilities that hit the platform, exposing the personal data of users at risk, the company noted that the proportion of users of "Google Plus" is low, since 90% of User sessions on the platform do not exceed 5 seconds.
