FilGoal | News Bournemouth Defender: Salah's critics are unfair … I could never stop him

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook believes criticism of Liverpool star Mohammed Salah during the current season has not been accurate.

"Salah has been unfairly criticized this season, but he has clearly worked so hard to get where he is now," Cook told Sky Sports.

"His desire to run behind the defenders and his great job is what makes the difference."

"You can be very talented, but if you do not have the desire to work and perform well, you will not develop," Cook said.

"I've never been able to stop it and it's frustrating because any player wants to play against the best players in the world," Bournemouth said.

"It was a tough match for me, we gave Salah the chances that he should not have had and he took advantage of it."

Salah, who scored 17 goals and five more in 22 appearances, was a good player for all Liverpool tournaments.

Salah has become the fastest player in Liverpool's history, scoring 40 goals in 52 games.
