The In-Stream Photo and Video Sharing app has announced the addition of voice mail to direct messaging.
According to Sky News, the new feature allows users to send recorded voice messages as in private messaging via Facebook and WAPSAB.
The recording time will be limited to one minute per voice message. Users can tap the microphone icon, save the sound and press the send button.
Voice messages have become very important to users, leaving them plenty of time to write and many expats consider them an alternative to international calls.
Facebook, which acquired Instagram in April 2012, is trying to make it the most popular photo application, the second largest social networking platform after Facebook.
Facebook had the habit of introducing the new features of the Blue site into other apps such as Watasab and Instagram.
