Image sharing service Instagram announced today that its monthly active users exceeded 500 million, of which more than 80% outside the United States.
The company, owned by Facebook in a post on its blog, says that more than 300 million users are accessing extramarital life every day.
The company said users of its application publish on average 95 million images and videos, with more than 4.2 billion admirations.
Facebook acquired Instagram in 2012 for $ 1 billion, a figure that surprised many people at the time, especially since the number of users was estimated at only 30 million.
