Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – For the second time in a row, Egypt and Liverpool have won the BBC's Best Player Award on the African continent in 2018.

The Liverpool team celebrated the Salah player's victory, describing it as "wonderful," according to his twitter.

Salah also posted a photo of him in a tweet via his Twitter account to celebrate the award.

In a report published on its website, the BBC said that Salah "outweighs the Moroccan Mahdi Ben Attia, the Senegalese Sadio Mani, the Ghanaian, Thomas Barty, the Senegalese Calido Coulibaly".

She drew attention to Salah's results this season in the English Premier League with Liverpool, pointing out that he currently holds the top scorer with 10 goals tied with Gabon's Pierre Emeric Obamyang.
